Valencia vs Getafe Betting Tips 18.04.2018

Valencia vs Getafe Soccer Prediction Today

Fourth-placed Valencia could guarantee a place in the group stage of next season’s Champions League by beating Getafe, who have all but ensured their top-flight survival with six games remaining in the season.
Valencia (65 pts, W20, D5, L7) are coming off a 2-1 loss away to Barcelona in which they gave the La Liga (LL) leaders a run for their money. The defeat ended Los Ches’ stunning nine-match unbeaten run in LL (W8, D1). Marcelino García Toral’s side have saved the best home form (five straight wins) for the final stages of the season and a victory over Getafe would see them seal their top-four spot – as long as Betis fail to beat Las Palmas.
Despite being reduced to ten men for much of the second half, Getafe (42 pts, W11, D9, L12) claimed a 1-0 win over Espanyol on Sunday thanks to a 30-yard screamer by Damián Suárez. Getafe find themselves just six points adrift of the top six heading into the midweek’s action, and they will be looking to become only the third team – after Villarreal and Real Madrid – to beat Valencia away in LL this campaign.
Getafe are unbeaten in their last three LL meetings with Valencia (W1, D2), but they have won just one of their 12 league trips (D2, L9) to the Mestalla.

Players to watch:

Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno has been named LL Player of the Month for March. Rodrigo has bagged a whopping six goals in his last six league games. Will he continue his outstanding goalscoring form?
With Getafe’s top LL scorer Ángel absent due to suspension, Jorge Molina (seven goals, two assists) could make a return to the starting line-up.

Stat attack:

None of the past 18 meetings between the sides have ended goalless.
Valencia captain Dani Parejo has scored the most penalties (six out of six) in LL so far this campaign.
Half of Getafe’s LL games have been goalless at half-time this season.

Prediction Today: Valencia
Odds: 1.62
